David Caswell is a partner in our Manchester office. His litigation practice is focused upon the defence of serious and catastrophic injury claims, through which he works to repudiate the claims or minimise client’s spend where a settlement is required. 

Additionally, David is the head of our solutions business stream where he oversees the performance of our claims. This includes the work of nearly 300 lawyers engaged in solutions for our clients whose litigation needs span casualty, motor, fraud, claims management services, costs and volume recovery.

David is also a chairman of our innovations group which focuses on analytics and automations products for the benefit of our clients. 

In one of his biggest achievements to date, David acted on behalf of the successful defendant in the Court of Appeal in Macsalvors v Brush Transformers. This was a precedent which later determined the Construction Plant Association (CPA) conditions of hire.
